What was tested
AISI’s engineering, security and cyber teams used frontier models to look for cloud misconfigurations in a staging version of their research platform. The two-week exercise found several issues, including an impersonation-related misconfiguration. The institute says the findings applied to production, while the exercise itself used an isolated environment without real user data. [1]
ADM perspective
This is evidence from a specific environment. It makes a case for carefully scoped trials of AI-assisted security review, rather than assuming a model can replace a security programme. The boundaries of the test are as informative as the findings.
